Verizon have announced their latest slider, the Samsung Sway SCH-u650.  0.47-inches thick, with a silver finish and 2.2-inch display, the Sway features a 2-megapixel camera with NightShot, media player functionality and A2DP stereo Bluetooth support.  Although on-device music downloads don’t appear to be supported, Verizon are pushing their V CAST Music with Rhapsody service whereby users download tracks on their computer and copy them to the Sway via a USB cable.

IM, mobile web and a personal organizer client are all preloaded, as is a bilingual interface in English and Spanish.  Storage is via microSD card, with capacities up to 8GB included.  The Sway measures 4.15” (h) x 1.96” (w) x 0.47” (d) with the standard battery, and weighs 3.56oz.

Battery life is rated at up to 270 minutes talktime or up to 312 hours standby.  The Samsung Sway will be available on October 14th, priced at $69.99 after a mail-in $50 rebate.  That assumes you’re willing to take out a two-year agreement.
