Verizon Wireless may very well be jumping on the pay as you go bandwagon. Can you hear the echoes of “it’s about time?”

On September 21, you may very well be able to go contract-free on the Verizon Wireless network. So instead of signing a contract, you can use a phone with the service on a month-to-month basis. The idea is that you could use whatever device you want with the service or a phone you purchase from Verizon, at full price, of course.

If you hate commitment or like to switch out your phone often, this service would be especially beneficial. However, the rather high actual phone prices might turn some people off. At least this way there will be something for everybody on the Verizon Wireless service roster.
