Verizon Wireless has announced its latest 3G data modem called the USB1000 Global modem. The laptop dongle offers users access to mobile 3G data networks in the U.S. and overseas.

Inside the USB, modem hides 800/1900MHz EVDO Rev. A and quad-band GSM/EDGE antennas along with tri-band tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA support. That means you can stay connected to the Internet wherever your travels take you.
The new device is available on several service plans and will cost $150 after a mail-in rebate and the obligatory 2-year contract. Service plans for the modem start at $130 monthly for global service with a scant 5GB of data in the U.S. and 100MB when abroad. For $220 monthly, you get 200MB of data. The device will be available to purchase starting on June 19.
