Verizon works with developers for collaborative wireless future





As smartphones and features phones that are capable of running software created by third parties grow in popularity developers are becoming increasingly important to wireless carriers. The software available on smartphones is as important to many customers as the network or the device itself.

Verizon Wireless has announced the members of its inaugural Verizon Developer Advisory Board. The nation’s largest wireless provider says that it recognizes that the wireless future will be built on collaboration.

The Developer Advisory Board has 11 total member companies and represents small and large developers in a forum designed to provide feedback about the Verizon application store. Member companies include Capcom Interactive, EA mobile, Gameloft, Gravity Mobile, iSkoot, Networks in Motion, PacketVideo, Slacker, Tribal Tech, and Zed Group.
