Verizon V CAST Video Election 08Catering to the ongoing furore of the upcoming US elections, Verizon is hoping to fuel the debate fire by offering a V CAST Video mobile TV channel called Election 08.  Rather than feature vox pops from various Verizon employees (which although entertaining might not cover the full breadth of analysis – no offence guys/girls!), the channel will include highlights of the campaign coverage from a variety of mainstream and niche news & entertainment providers; the list includes stalwarts ABC and CNN, Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” and “The Daily Show”, and more satirical content from The Onion and Viva! Vision.

The Election 08 channel is included as part of Verizon’s normal V CAST Video line-up, and as such can be purchased for $3 for 24-hours access or as part of a $15.00 V CAST VPak monthly subscription, which also includes access to Verizon Wireless’ ESPN MVP, Get It Now and Mobile Web 2.0 services.
