BGR just posted about Verizon’s upcoming BlackBerry Niagara, an EVDO Rev. A BlackBerry handheld. Some early leaked information said this gadget is “a cross between the Bold and the Curve 8900“. Bigger than the Curve, smaller than the Bold.
Its specs include:
- “Large screen family”.
- QWERTY keyboard.
- 480×360 LCD.
- EV-DO Rev. A.
- aGPS.
- 3.2 megapixel camera.
- 4.7 OS platform.
- BES 5.0 support (HTML email, etc).
- Qualcomm MSM7600 processor.
No word on its release date (but seems it would launch in May of ‘09 on Verizon) as well as it pricing.

ok I thought this Phone was going to arrive on Sprint….. But I guess NOT….. Sprints and BB relationship Sucks…….. I’m getting a SVC that has better Phones…… I guess Pal PRE is a going ot be Joke once that thing comes out…..

on a side note, I just pooped my pants.
It’s definitely a nice looking phone. From the front it looks like a smaller Bold, and from the side it looks like the 8900 Curve. And with all of the pictures that have been surfacing I would say it shouldn’t be too long before it’s in stores. Any sure dates yet? can’t even it on http://www.Niagara-BlackBerry.com I hope it will come out sooner or later.
Coming out July 13, 2009 for Verizon.
