Love the iPhone’s interface but hate the lack of 3G? You could wait for Apple to grace us with a new version of the handset, or you could bite the bullet and pick up a Windows Mobile smartphone; only problem is, the GUI is a pile of stewed dung compared to the slick interface Apple crafted for the iPhone. Geek.com have been looking at skins for Windows Mobile, and most notable to my eyes is Vito Technologies’ Communication Suite which not only freshens up WM’s style but adds a new task manager, contact manager, SMS client and on-screen keyboard (together with an optional photo gallery app).

It’s basically a way to make Windows Mobile more finger-friendly, similar to the freeware app PointUI but with updated, gesture-sensitive software not just a re-skinning.

Some people love these sort of skins, while others think them a bit naff and believe you should buy what you like in the first place. If you’re of the former opinion, and like the look of Vito’s Communication Suite, you can buy it for $39.95 here.
