As the mobile phone industry grows and more consumers look for ways to save money, the landline phone is starting to be overtaken by mobile phone usage. There are still many homes that have both cellular phones and a landline in use.

VTech has announced a new home phone that is aimed at the user that uses a mobile phone heavily along with their home phone line. The device is called the Vtech LS6245 Cordless Phone System and offers Bluetooth connectivity to a mobile phone.
With a Bluetooth connection the device can pair with up to eight mobile phones and connect to two simultaneously. That allows the first call received by one of the mobiles to be answered with the Vtech handset. The system can also be extended with up to 12 base stations to cover an office or larger home. The main device sells for $79.95 and the extra base stations sell for $39.95.
