As if there weren’t enough CCTV cameras watching us in Britain already, here’s Wireless CCTV’s offering to law enforcement and security personnel: a vest and backpack which has an integrated camera, microphone and 3G cellphone for constant monitoring and recording of what’s going on. The WCCTV 3G Covert Backpack promises “evidential quality recording” both to a local Compact Flash card writer and, via the 3G cellphone, to a remote supervisor.

A panic button and microphone can trigger a call for immediate assistance, and the vest can be fitted with an optional GPS receiver to allow all footage to be geotagged and, in the case of an emergency, patrols to be pinpointed for support.
The system follows an earlier rig which added cameras to police helmets, and which has been undergoing trials among various UK police forces.

I think that this is a good idea, and I believe that you will be able to record some criminal activity.
I also saw this new wireless3G cctv system which basically you can put up and without any wires, (except for maybe a power cable) you can be watching cctv from your internet.
Quite amazing really.
