Loading ...A few sites are reporting this morning that they have uncovered new Sidekick code names, the Sidekick Gekko and the Sidekick Aspen. According to these sites, these are going to be new Sidekick models. There has not been any information leaked from the FCC, or other sources that would undeniably confirm the existence of such devices.
Now, just because there are new code names does not mean they are new devices. They could very well be a re-hash of the current Sidekick. It is also possible that they are a limited edition offering of the messaging handset. This sounds like a pretty strong possibility, and I would not be the least bit surprised if this is what it turns out to be.
The devices are apparently scheduled to be released soon, so if they are real we do not have long to wait. The Sidekick Gekko is scheduled to launch on July 27th. The Sidekick Aspen is scheduled to follow close behind, launching on July 30th.

Gekko aka Aspen is not coming out this year, i heard it from T-Mobile

Omg… this sidekick gekko is sweet! New text device, and it is going to be low-end, im In ! I love any phone that has a qwerty key board. The Sidekick Gekko is supposedly going to come out on June 27th-30ish. Around these dates or in da summer.

its said to be released july 27th along with another one july 30th. but tmobile upgraders get first dibbs before any other users.

I JUST spoke with a tmobile representive. She said that the sidekick Aspen will not be released until September. Along with a G3 network. The G3 network will allow us tmobile customers to browse TV shows movies etc. The Ceo of tmobile said it is going to be the best G3 network in America.

They needa quit with new styles and weak ass features and break the sidekick down and rebuild from the ground up.the sidekick 3 is boring alreeady and the LX aint no different.wow a brighter screen and diff. Color light modes. That’s hella weak t-mobile stop giving us shitty ass phones and make somthing that’s worth paying $300 for
