Who ever has the desire to buy Motorola’s mobile division better have deep pockets and a solid strategy. I doubt this will ever happen – at least in my lifetime.
Richard Windsor, an analyst with Nomura International believes that there is a chance Motorola will exit the handset business in order to focus more on becoming an enterprise and government company, and also added the speculation about Chinese vendors buying the company has risen again.
Motorola may be in trouble, but not in financial ruins like Palm where they would find the need to sell off the mobile division.
