Windows Mobile 6.5 gets the video treatment

It will be hard for fans of other operating systems to fathom, but there are lots of people who get excited at the prospects of a new Windows Mobile OS. The next version of the OS coming down the pipes is 6.5 and it has been given its own video treatment.

The video demo shows the OS installed on the HTC Touch Diamond2 and it features the latest UI offering 24-bit icons and Flash support. Recent speculation has Microsoft renaming Windows Mobile as Windows Phone, which is reportedly not accurate.

Microsoft will use Windows Phone as part of its sales speak to promote the device and the OS will retain its Windows Mobile name. The OS looks a lot like a Zune to my eyes. Unfortunately multitouch isn’t on the feature list.
