The infamous WWDC keynote speech will be kicking off very soon and during the keynote it is widely expected for Apple to unveil a new iPhone. John Gruber at Daring Fireball has published predictions for what we will see during the WWDC keynote.

According to Gruber we should expect to get an iPhone with a significantly faster processor, twice the storage and prices are expected to remain the same at the $199/$299 price point for 16GB and 32GB devices. The handset is also expected to get a video camera.

The name of the new iPhone is rumored to be iPhone 3GS. Another prediction is better battery life, which is something desperately needed on the iPhone. The new phone is rumored to have 15 or 20% more battery life than the current model. Apple is also expected to unveil lower priced iPhones with some speculation that the current 3G device will hang on at a $99 price point.
