Sony Ericsson’s new XPERIA device line has been hotly discussed. The X1 is the only device in the line as of now, but Sony Ericsson has made it clear XPERIA will be a line of devices, not just a single device. It only makes sense that we are going to see a XPERIA X2 device in the near future. The thing is, the X1 has not even been released yet.

XPERIA X2

This screen shot from the video shows that the device is most likely keyboard less and will be some sort of ‘communications’ device. The first frames of the video show a person using the device as a phone, so it will have that functionality. From the video it very obviously has a touch screen, but a keyboard is no where to be found.

The video does not tell us much unfortunately. We know that the X1 runs Windows Mobile, but the video had no shots of the device’s interface. Furthermore, we can not even be sure if this is an XPERIA device. The video never says or even hints at XPERIA, so we can not say what family this will be in. With the growing number of keyboard less devices, an X1 variant with no keyboard does not sound like a far out idea though.
