Custom options are commonplace on high-ticket items like cars but, aside from faceplate-swaps, cellphones are pretty much solid when it comes to specifications. Want a better camera, or GPS, or mobile TV? If the handset you’re looking at doesn’t have them, pick another. Well, zzzPhone would like to change all that: their eponymous cellphone is, at its most basic, a Windows Mobile 6 smartphone with 3-inch touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, dual-SIM slots and WiFi, but beyond that there’s an options list allowing most aspects of the phone to be tweaked.

Stock, the zzzPhone is priced at $149, but that’s just a starting point. Want a 5 or 7-megapixel camera? Yours for $39 or $95 respectively; you can add a front-facing camera for just $18. zzzPhone will install mobile TV & FM radio for $29, add four stereo speakers for $18, fit GPS for $119 or make the whole thing water-resistant for $7. They’ll even preload music, video or games – for a price, of course – and for $36 they’ll install Skype.

They estimate a six-week delivery period if you spec a higher-resolution camera or GPS, and the warranty is a rather paltry 30-days, but if you’re desperate to customise a WM6 phone then now’s your chance.

It,s an amazing phone.! I’m one of the few whom actually ordered one. I’ve read a lot of blogs lately and the disbelief and jealousy of those that have paid hundreds of dollars more for a lesser phone. You better order one now. Choose your color.Choose a logo or your name on it. Get it now.! Put your company logo on it and give away as gifts.Have some fun .!

The warranty is 2 years according to the order page. I suspect it’s 30 days money back, 2 years repair/replace.

I’m considering getting a base model to see if they are any good. At $149US, you can’t really go too far wrong.

This is a scam. I ordered a unit more than two months ago. After repeated inquiries and requests for my purchase they sent me a low quality product with the logo ZZZPhone spray painted on it, and the plastic case feels like its goin to break anytime.

In the specs I had the option of including a torchlight, FM, GPS, Wi-fi, and bluetooth. Here is what I got:-

    1. Torchlight was stick on.
    2. No FM.
    3. No Wi-Fi.
    3 Bluetooth does not work.
    4. GPS software(Navione) was in Chinese.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A TOTAL RIPOFF.

    Meshari…
I bough this phone and i’m amazed with it. I don’t understand why you say that. They even included a free TV receiver i didn’t order for free!! (To apologize for the delay). It’s quality is good for it’s price.
Any question about the phone.. just email me javimaker(at)gmail.com
